Firstly would like to say hello to the group - this is my first real post so to speak.
I have recently purchased an iPaq 214 pocket PC - which is great and does what I need - keeping track of things while I am away from the office.
However I connect to the Internet by two ways.
If I am at the office it connects to the wireless router - no problem If I am away I use my bluetooth-enabled phone and connect to a dial up Internet connection - again no problem.
My problems really start when I leave a program running for instance Messenger - when I next turn it on it tries to keep using the bluetooth connection even though the bluetooth has been switched off (also we get no mobile phone signal at the office) - I click dismiss and try to stop the program but the connection tries again and I am in a constant loop until I do a soft reset.
Any help would be appreciated in how to set this up properly - is there anyway that no connection is asked for unless I tell it to??
Thank you
Richard
p.s. why on earth when you close an application cant it just stop running rather then having to go into the memory and shut the program down - weird way to behave IMO
