I have an ipaq 111, which replaced a Palm. I just got a new computer and do not own a copy of Microsoft Office 2003.The computer uses Windows xp.
All I want to do is back up my data on the computer. I'm using Pocket Breeze for the PIM. The iPAQ did come with Office for Windows Mobile.
I don't want to have to buy Microsoft Office for the PC just to sync my PDA. Is there backup software that would allow me to save everything?
BTW, I had set up a partnership with my work computer, but I keep getting error messages when I try to sync to that (it worked fine before I got the new home computer).
All I want to do is save my personal info to my home computer so I can keep my personal and business lives separate. The "partnership" with 2 computers did not allow me to save home info to home and work info to work.
I was perfectly happy with Palm Desktop, but Palm wasn't making PDAs any more, and I'm not ready to have one device as both phone and pda.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can solve this problem?
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish other than not using Outlook. Do you want to be able to view your data on your home pC or simply back it up?
If you need to be able to view it then obvisously you need to be able to sync to something. There are various third party applications available for syncing to something else. You can use Dashwire for contacts, SMS, etc. but not your calendar. Make Google calendar and Goosync?
