DocX and XlsX files - Eeek

I use Office 2003, and can't read the DocX or xlsX files created on my PDA. Nor can I read the so-called rtf files that mobile word offers to create. I can see there are online converters, but this is a pain. Any better solutions?

I think my problem is the other way round

Thanks for this link. However I think this is to allow the previous version of windows mobile office to work with office 2007.

I have the newest version of office on the pda, but office 2003 on my computer.

Is there a reverse fix?

Regards

Matt

yeah, there's actually a converter you can find on MS website (microsoft.com) and they'll let you convert the docx, xlsx or whatever to be compatible with the 2003 version

Found a solution

Yes, thanks for that. I also found this:
Download details: Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats

Which is an add-in that Microsoft have released to allow Office 2003 to open office 2007 documents, so that has solved it most easily.

Thanks for your interest!
