Hi there, I've recently purchased an HTC P3600 and like it a lot...and am already an addict!
However, I'm trying to install Google Mail (v1.5.0.1193) from the Google mobile website which appears to work fine, but once installed I've no idea where to run it from! Its not listed in Programs and isn't shown inside the Java console (although at installation that appears to be where it went).
An idiotic question I'm sure but if anyone can help me I'd be very appreciative!
It should show up in your midlet manager, but let me give you another option. Get yourself a copy of Opera Mini (www.operamini.com). This also a free java aplet and not only a much better browser than PIE, but my preferred way to get my gmail.
Thanks schmenge, bizarrely I think trying to install google mail has removed Opera mini from the midlet manager - it was definitely there before! I'll download it again and give it a go, though would still be interested to know how to get the google mail client installed!
I've been having the same problem on my MDA Vario - download completes, midlet manager runs but the program doesn't install. I wonder if Google have made any changes to the app or the way it installs...
Had the app on a few other phones, was going to be one of the first things I installed.
