Works with PPC6700

Hi Tim! Yes it works with the PPC6700, however I did have to play around with the settings several different times in tweaks2k2 to get my desired result. (3 hard resets worth to be exact! )

I verified your registry editing settings too, and they check out fine as well.

Thanks!

Xen0cr0ss, as I understand it if you follow the post on the page previous it has everything you need to do.

I have a question too: My registry keys reset themselves after the soft reset, any ideas why? I've tried a few different mods, and after the reset they are all gone, i go to tools>exit after editing them and I use PHM regedit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks folks.

I have to verify this, but I don't use PHM regedit. I use something totally different. I also used Tweak2k2 as well. I really like that program as it is easy and actually fun to use.

After using Tweaks 2K2, I have a blank lit screen, and the only way to turn off the MDA is by pulling out the battery...

The phone shows the TMobile screen first, and when it should show Windows, it goes to the blank screen... phone, buttons, etc, seem to be disconnected....

Actually, my backup is the insurance I have for my phone...
I just received my replacement phone... (48 hr. service: Go, T-Mobile!!!)

I have promised never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever to touch my registry again! Microsoft is too inflexible!

that's is the reason why I don't want to play around with my registry for the sake of making it a little bit faster. don't wamt any more headaches. my 8125 is fine the way it is. not fast but not slow. gets my job done.

Hey, but the procedure had the "Tim and Murduck" Seal of Approval!
Do you think it was a case of mis-registry-ation? LOL

You know, one of my teachers once told me, "you're not stupid, you just dont read."

Well there ya go.
Know what tweak is.
I downloaded all the reg edit things and used setup.exe, which explains why it didnt work. I finally ended up putting the .ARM on my phone and running it and it worked.

It works, cant tell if it goes alot faster or not.
Testing...

Ok, yes you can. I just did a bunch of stuff, everything you can think of and its going faster. But I only have 14mbs of storage left :P im still waitng on a 4gb from ebay, once I get that it will probably go faster considering I will have some space :P.

When your editing the registry you have to be in hexidecimal or else it wont work. At least on a Cingular 8125 you do, im just glad I caught myself before I saved everything or I would have been screwed :P. If your not in hexidecimal it will just set all your values to 0, which is kind of bad .

Thanks,

-Q

You have to be in Hexadecimal or else it selts your values to 0.
When you do this and put in what it says above, you click ok. It will say something stupid

"
CacheSize 4096 (0X0010...
EnableCache 1 (0X000001)"

Like that its ok, just say ok and leave. Then do what it says above for active sync. If you can't soft reset (mine was dumb for a second, things were missing) there should be a reset button somewhere on your pda, jsut press that button and when it restarts things will go Great!

Thanks Tim!

no change

tryed on 8125 but no change. Tested on a few programs along with "windows" folder. windows folder=14 sec (before tweak)

windows folder=14 sec (after tweak)

o well, good tweak nun the less seeing as how others are getting great results. worth trying.
