Hi, i have a 02 XDA Neo and i got the phone from a friend and the phone has a russian windows on it... How do i install the english version on it. I know i have to download activ sync and the windows mobile 5.0 sdk... how do i move forward and actually install it??? Please help
Ok what you need to do is find out if its a g3 or g4 unit, then if its a g3 your in luck what you need to do is cid unlock it, what that allows you to do is install roms from other manufactures meaning someone other than o2. Once you have cid unlocked it I would suggest going to WM6 instead of WM5 just because, too many reasons to list, well ok to lazy. you can cid unlock it by following this thread. Also I can now unlock the GPS chip in the 8925 and install GPS software with maps as well
