I have a Symbol PPT 8800 and I turned it on today and it went to the screen where it just displays Symbol and stops there. No matter how long I wait it will not proceed to windows. I have tried cold boot many times and tried leaving the battery out for awhile only to my demise. If anyone has any suggestions please shout them out because i have run out of ideas. The symbol people want me to pay over 300 dollars to fix it so I am just trying to avoid that.

Yes many times. The problem first started after i went to use the DCM to load one of the scripts supplied with the application. After i followed every step to a T and went to restart it never returned to windows. Hopefully this clears some things up.
You need to have them send you a rom so that you can rerom it. You have corupted windows and the only way to fix it is to rerom it.

Yes just tell them you have corupted your rom and you need to rerom it, they should send you a link do downoad the RUU installer and just follow the directions.
