HTC Home Plug-in

Ok I've gotten over 20 PM about this so heres a thread

I uploaded a great little program called Htc home plug-in, it is a today screen plug-in that has a large clock and many shortcut, depending on the version you install you will have 3-6 shortcut buttons directly below the clock. These go to certain programs and different things in the plugin, like weather, mapable shortcuts, music plug-ins and other usefull tools.

Ok I never ran into a problem when installing this because I treat it like any other large program. Large being over 500kbs what I do to never run into an issue when installing these programs is:

1) Install it directly to the device not the storage card, any theme or plug-in or large program should be directly installed to the device. The reason being is that it is now apart of the phone since its something you are going to be constantly using it will run fast and perform better if its not installed on a memory card. Even if you have a sdhc memory card installing to your device will be much faster.

2) After installing any large program perform a softreset.

3) Make sure that it is selected by going to settings/ today screen/ and Items and make sure its selected.

4) You will notice it at the top of your today screen and you will not be able to move it up or down it is stickied in a way, if you are like me you would like the option to move it up and down you can do so by going here.

Ok here is a add-on

This is a customizer for the HTC Home plug-in

Now this is not a customized version of some HTC software this was actually developed by EMU he is a great developers and this is a awsome customizer. This is fully supported by a download server so you can easily get custom visuals.

This is not stand alone software you have to have a version of HTC home installed.

This obviously took alot of time so if you like it and use it please make a small donation.

Ok. I just installed it, did a softreset and now I'm lost.. theres nothing in the Items thing thats new, am I just missing something?

did exactly what u said and still doesnt work on my ppc, has to be an installer file or something? where exactly did u place the file?

Please notice theres two versions
ver. 1.0 should work on the 8125
ver. 2.0 should work on the 8525

I think that ver. 1.0 should work on any wm6 device not sure

I have custom roms on my 8125s and 8525s so I can only tell you that they will work on an 8125 with wm6 and they will work on the 8525 with wm6

1.0 worked fine for me....but 2.0 is just a .dll how do you expect us to install that...or where do you place that file....thnx

I have the same question about the DLL.. how do you install a DLL on WM5.0 on an 8500.

1.0 did not show up in the settings/today/items area for me

Ok sry but I did make a mistake, I uploaded a plug-in for HTC home plug-in and not the actual plug-in. The irony well I am very sry for the mistake but I am only human the right file is uploaded now sry for the inconvience.

I have AT&T 8500 HTC running WM5.0

I have installed application rebooted and went settings/today/items and nothing new there

I must be doing something wrong

please help

it says that its made for wm6 not 5. Maybe thats why?

Awsome great to hear, hey Ive got some other software I would love it if you would tell me if it would work on your touch, if your interested pm me and include an email address.

ok.. opps. I thought I read the either WM5.0 or WM6.0

I know this is off topic.. but 1.0 does the same thing.. nothing in the setting/today/items.. is that only WM6.0 also..

This information is for the 8525 not anyother phone.

Ok HTC v. 1.0 should work with your phone without an issue. Since wm6 is now official though you should upgrade and you would not have this issue. Make sure you install olipro 2.10 first.

whenever i click launch music player, i get an error screen that says the file AudioManager cannot be opened...

Im not sure if it will work or not, idt it will as the device it intended for is a qvga and your device is a vga. heres a thread and you can google a little as I dont have the device I cant try what they say.
