On my PPC is the HP enroller software that installs certificates. I have no idea what a certificate is for? I searched the web for HP enroller and all it comes up with, is PPC's for sale that have the enroller software, I cannot find a anything that will explain what HP enroller is and what a certificate is? Can someone help me out and explain it to me?
I can't believe 44 people have looked but do not know the answer! I'm new here, but I'm getting the impression that it is best to not ask ANY questions here, since nobody cares. Am I wrong? Let me guess, soon it will be 50 views, but still no answer. I came from the NCIX boards where everyone helped eachother out, it was nice.
Now that you're asking I've never actually cared abou the real definitions of certificates. I know that some website require certificates for access. This is in some way to create a secure access and an authentication method. Many enterprises use certificates to give access to their networks. If such certificates are not installed on your device, access is denied. I suppose the enroller is an application to manage certificates on your device. Have you checked your user manual, HPs website or contacted HP support for more info?
