alarm problem with 8525

the alarm hasnt been working on my cingular/att 8525. i set the alarm to any of the noises, it doesnt sample them like i think it used to, and i have the volume all the way up. both the speakers and the phone is all the way up and the alarm still does not sound when supposed to...all it does is make a beep sound for the notification. anyone know the problem? thanks.

Alarms and reminders are notoriously problematic in Windows Mobile. Most issues are caused by a bad notification in the notifications queue. Get something like MemMaid or SK Tools which will let you view the notifications queue (I am a little more partial to MemMaid for this task). Both programs will find duplicates and set them up for deletion. If you have a "bad" notification you need to scan for that yourself, but is usually pretty obvious.

I have an annual reminder setup for my wife's anniversary of being diagnosed with breast cancer. The notification should always be for the next year. Once, in addition to that one, I had another for something like 2097, which was a "bad" notification. Other times I have found notifications with just garbage in them.

She is 100%, thanks for your thoughts. Duplicate notifications are probably more common, and just as much of a potential issue, as bad notifications. The fact that you use Calendar+ would not make you immune. I used to use a product called Synchrologic. Every soft reset I would get duplicate entry from this product. There are certainly other reasons for reminder issues, this is just a relly common one. You can demo MM or SK and take a peak at your queue.
