i dropped my Cingular 8125 a few days ago and it will not recognize my storage card anymore. it says it is not installed. i never had to install it, it just showed up when i put the card in. i dont know what else to do. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Have you done a soft reset since you dropped it? That would be the first thing I would try. If there is still an issue with accessing the card, I would try a different card in the slot to find if the issue is with the slot or with your card. Hopefully, it will be resolved by doing the reset.
i agree with yankee. what size card u got, and about the whole installed issdue, u dun have to install it. Thats just what it says when the card is not reconize it.

my brother has the same phone i do, so i tried the card in his phone and it didnt work either. im returning that fucking thing this weekend and getting a new one.
It sounds like the drop did damage to the slot or its connections on the motherboard. Hopefully they will swap it for you, though user-induced damage it not often considered beyond theit responsibility. Was any damage done to the exterior when it fell?
i just want to thank you all for being so helpful. usually people on forums get annoyed and become assholes. anyways im hoping it is not the phone. i tried the card in my brothers 8125 and it still didnt work so im thinking it is the card. i got it from best buy with some giftcards i got for christmas and i still have the reciept so they should just let me swap it for a new one. there is just a scratch on the corner of the phone from the drop. nothing on the screen. thanks again.
