Just wondering. Would an older version of activesync work? I see that ver. 3.8 is compatible with Windows ME. But, is there going to be any problems that I may run into?
3.8 should work fine. I am assuming that the previous installation did not even initialize after detecting ME, so there is probably nothing to uninstall before putting on AS 3.8. You can check the Remove Programs control applet just to be sure AS is not listed.

Exactly, I clicked on it and it imediatly said,"Sorry, This ain't gonna happen." (not exactly in those words)
I couldn't get it at work with ME and windowsmobile5.0. but you can transfer stuff to the card with wm5torage an app that makes your mobile a cardreader you can also play media from the card without copy it to the pc with it. it also charges the battery
You should be fine. While WM2003SE can sync through AS 4.2, it does not take advantage of the updated AS features. Yout iPAQ should be happy with 3.8 and sync without a problem.
Have you given any thought to hunting up a copy of Windows2000 for your PC? Most machines that run ME can handle 2000, though it might require a memory increase to be happy.

I've thought about it. I drastically need to upgrade.
