This question came up a while back, and I posted that it couldn't be done...well, I was wrong!
Mort over at xda-developers created a great little program that allows you to set a different ringer / sound notification for each contact or group in your contacts list!
I am confused ..can't you just edit contact and apply ring tone that's what I do on my 8125
the 8125 iz a lot different than some ppcz in a few wayz. 1 being our ability 2 have serate caller tonez standard. but maybe thatz an HTC thng im not sure =/
It is not only custom sms alter tones for each contact / group, but also custom the ring for each contact / group, easy to use and very cheap, almost is free.
It is the cheapest price and the function is not poor than any other one in the type of softwares.
I am impressed, now I can share my ring tones for groups on my HTC Phone see a look of PDA brands, I hope the software can work on other phones as well.
