Shortcuts for programs

Friends:

I have installed several applications on my external storage card. Is there a way to add a shortcut into the programs folder to those programs?

Thanks in advance,

Migs

I second this request. Very new user moving over from Palm to PPC. Have to say I really like the PPC format. I am also using a memory card and want to creat shortcuts to make things easy.

The shortcuts displayed in the Programs window under Start are in \Windows\Start Menu\Programs. If you are usiing the WM File Explorer, navigate to the executable for the app and select Copy. Then navigate to the above location and select Paste Shortcut. You can rename the shortcut so it displays the name you wish in the Programs window.

Many file management apps simply the process by having a 'Send as Shortcut' command that cuts the number of steps down.

Thanks for that. As you would expect not a lot different as "big" windows OS. I am finding that I am running both the Palm and the PPC at present. Soon I will get TomTom for the PPC and try that out for my sat nav. At present I am using a Garmin Ique 3600. It's gtrat having a new OS to explore. Once again thank you.

I recommend Total Commander File Explorer. It's free and offers more functionality than the built in File Explorer.

Actually, I use them both.
