Overview: The Windows Live Search Beta for mobile application gives you fast access to local search and maps, driving directions, and even local traffic information. When you get your search results, you can click to call the phone number of the place you found, or even look at a satellite photo (on some phones) You can also use your GPS. I like this alot better than googlemaps and maps4pda IT ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jimnoland. The Map4pda seems really good. I just read this on another website a nice comparison by a user of google, live search and map4pda.
"well... i've never used google maps, since it's java based (as java is not natively supported in WM5). Although, you also need to download the microsoft .net compact firmware to use map4pda. Map4pda allows you to switch map providers and includes yahoo, google, virtual earth, and ask.com. It also allows you to overlay virtual earth's traffic information on any of the map providers. So... map4pda is better than the others. But... it isn't very stable. I've already had to soft reset three times because map4pda doesn't like quitting when it's loading maps. as mentioned before, it also crashes on exit about 90% of the time (which isn't really bad, but it shouldn't be crashing ever so...). Also... whenever I go to get driving directions, with map4pda, it tells me that the server is unavailable, although i suspect this is temporary. And... unlike the others, map4pda is updated by a few dudes on a regular basis... which i happen to like the idea of more than faceless corporations,"
