During a recent trip to Mexico I purchased an HP IPAQ HX2490b. Although I live in a Spanish speaking country, I feel more comfortable with English versions for my equipment. All my other devices run with English versions. For this reason I am looking for a way to change the language on my IPAQ from Spanish to English. I have read somewhere to download a ROM in English and change the checksum and the language code. I downloaded the ROM for my device in English to copy the steps the guy used in his example, but when I downloaded the ROM he was using, it was different to his example. I could neither identify the checksum number nor the language code and that’s when I had to abandon my attempt. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated
