Un-install MSN messenger

Hi Folks,
Great forum! Recently bought an O2Mini (Windows Mobile 2003) and noticed that I cannot remove the MSN messenger or the embedded IE...

I really don't use MSN and have iMov as an alternative even if I do and was wondering how I could get rid of it...
Same applies to the IE as well...

Any and all help is appreciated and yesI did try to go to Uninstall programs and didn't find it there...

Thanks
Shankar

Hi shansrin2000, welcome to the forum.

Have you tried, Start > Settings > System tab > Remove Programs control panel, select "IE and/or MSN messenger," and tap the Remove button to remove the applications?

Let me know if that works for ya.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt response...However the IE / MSN aren't even listed in the remove programs option...

Any alternatives?
Thanks

I guess that's one evil we have to be with when using WM5. However, you can surely avoid using it and remove it from today screen. Start > Settings > Today > Items would solve it.

There are a number of apps (IE, Excel, Word, the PIM modules) that are actually pieces of the OS. You may not use them, but they are still tied into the OS structure and part of the OS ROM image. Removing the displayed shortcuts is about as far as you can reasonably take it.
