Hello,
I have been searching the treads to find a how to setup the wifi without paying cingular but in vain. Anyone can help me with this issue.
I just get my phone and there so much to learn.
Also is it possible to go online with an static IP.
Thanks
There are a number of threads that deal with this, mamadou... basically, your phone has WiFi already installed, but you have to disconnect the costly Cingular GPRS connection that automatically tries to connect every time you use your browser...
You can test the WiFi connection at any Starbucks... you'll get an invitation to pay for the WiFi... but you will know that it's working!!!
I remember we had a thread about this last week, also for a 8125, but the title had to do with disconnecting the GPRS...
Sorry I don't have time to search it out for you.... :-/
Honestly I am not getting the answer that i am looking. I am beeing charge with cingular for my internet connection.
If i can have some screenshots on how to set up the wifi, i will really appreciate that.
Thanks
Mamadou... once you disconnect the GPRS, then you shouldnt have any extra charges... but the accumulated charges you've had 'til then will show up in the next bill... yes, and it can be a surprise if you didn't plan for it.
As for screenshots, they really depend on the specific PPC model, the service provider, the ROM, and the software you might be using...
