Exclamation Cingular 8125 problem with clock

Hey there, I am new to the forum - not sure if anyone else has come across this problem, but, mysteriously the clock on my 8125 has converted to analog [a circle with 2 arms] instead of the digital time display.

I can't for the life of me figure out why or how. Changing the regional or time settings have no effect - changing any calendar features also have no effect.

What is up with this?

Hey kitkat! Try tapping and holding on the analog clock until you see the option to change it back to digital!

Hope this helps! Let us know!

Maybe it's for those that can't yet let go of older technology.

Wink No such thing as "old" tech

What do you mean old technology? My mother expects me home when the big hand is pointing to the sky and the little hand is pointing to the ground!

All I know is that if I can't see the hands on the clock, I'm in trouble!

Seriously, though, the use of clock hands allows a smaller screen symbol than all of the numbers... the numbers just promise more precision. Of course, on our PPC's, the use of the clock symbol takes more processing power (and probably memory) than just a straight display of the numbers...

For some reason Im having issues with my phone... The clock keeps changing the time. Its always an hour off. Either an hour ahead or an hour behind. Anyone else with this problem??? Needless to say is doesn't take dst into effect.

When you go to Clock & Alarm.. is it set for your time zone. once you select your time zone, it shouldn't change.. To get to clocks and alarms just click on the date and it will take you there. I haven't heard of it automatically changing. it should stay set once you select it. But hey im still a noob too, maybe Tim or someone has more answers.

Make sure that your phone and your PC that you sync up to are on the same time zone. FYI, the Pocket PC will sync with your computers time so whatever time is is on your PC, your Cingular 8125 will have as well. Also check to see if you need Daylight Savings Time (DST). Let us know!

Yes, I need Daylight Savings Time (DST)... I have noticed that when I attach to my laptop it does alter the clock/change somethings... Thanks to all who provided some insight...

ha, tim beat me to it. i recently noticed that my time would sometimes be off by a couple hours. then i realised that the time on my laptop would be the exact same time as my phone...

just keep that in mind...it'll sync time settings.

As Simon and Garfunkel used to say:
"Time, Time, Time, see what's become of me...
While I looked around for my possibilities,
You were so hard to please.

So, look around, leaves are brown now, and the sky is a hazy shade of winter..."

Let us never forget that the Masters of Microsoft have created Windows Mobile 5 to be ever subject to your ActiveSync computer...
I'm finding that it's even worse with the new ROM... ActiveSync not only changes the time, but also puts anything in the mobile shared folder in sync with your PPC, but ONLY IN MAIN MEMORY !!!! (in the background.... "and the sky is a hazy shade of winter").... :-/
