So can anybody have any suggestion on how i can make it work??
You might be using full length mp3s for ring tones... if that's the case I recommend editing the mp3s to shorter lengths. Also your mp3 might be large because of its high bitrate... try converting it to a lower bitrate also and you should be good to go. Hope this helps and let us know your progress.
yee man you kno what you are right lol am putting the whole songs on there lol never notice that... but for me to shorting the length of the mp3 where can i do that?? is there a music program i need to download or what??....
a lot of people have had similar issues, it won't hurt to check out that original thread. I also recommend setting the bitrate at least to 96 Kbps and keeping sound clips as short as 30 seconds or so.
but i have one more question on my pocket 8125 where can i find the folder for my txt msg ringtone????...is it in the same place as my ringtone for my phone b/c i been looking and looking and i can not seem to find it....

Just place the newly created WAV file in the \Windows directory, and you should see the sound on the Alerts list!
Fantastaic i was wondering about this problem for my new XDA II (mp3`s for ring tones). Reading this sorted me out in a few minutes. Cheers for the initial message and to all the guys who replyed. You must have saved me hours of faffing about...lol
I like to use DB Power amp for encoding and audacity for editing the mp3's or wav files. In audacity you can amplify the sound too, so that works well for rings so they are nice and loud. I also do a high pass filter so its not trying to play all that bass in a tiny little speaker that you cant even hear it in, which makes the file smaller (& then you can amp it some more!) also the hard limiter makes it seem louder too if you do it right. I probably spend way too much time on it, but I record my own music too so I like to mess with that kinda stuff. Alsoif you just want to listen to music, get WinamPQ as an mp3 player and ogg player, you can use DB power amp to convert your mp3's into a low bitrate ogg vorbis file which you can get to about half the size of an mp3 but it sounds just as good! Sometimes better. As long as you don't go too low in bitrate. I used to have 850MB of mp3's on my card, now I only have 400MB of ogg files!
Audacity is well easy to use got the hang of it straight away. The tunes are now blasting out my XDA II ........lol. Cheers for all the help Guys and Knowlage is power.......lol.
Connect your PPC to your Descktop PC and them open Activesync, click on Explorer and then copy the files you want from your computer to your Pocket PC "\Windows\Ring" folder (if not exist you have to create it).
