Right now I have a Palm Tungsten T3, but am looking into getting a new PDA. It seems to me that the Palm OS is becoming obsolete, and I'm looking into moving to a Pocket PC. Specifically, I'm looking for one with wireless capabilities thus allowing me to use it as a phone and a PDA.
It is very important to me to be able to edit, and manage the PIM information in my palm on a desktop computer. With a palm you can either use Palm Desktop, which is free. Or I actually use a third party program called Aggendus which has both a palm, and desktop based applications.
If I move to a pocket pc is MS Outlook the only option I have to edit the content of my pda on a desktop? All Pocket PCs come with Active Sync but do I also have to purchase a copy of outlook to actually edit my tasks, contacts, and schedule on a my desktop?
Welcome to Pocket PC Addict Eric! To answer your question, all Pocket PC's that come with ActiveSync come with a copy of Microsoft Outlook as well so you're good to go out of the box.
