Hi, I'm looking for a good GPS navigation solution for the PPC-6700. Can anyone help me out? I would like it to include voice guidance for use in a car. I understand that Tomtom software is not supported on this device.
TheHyena, I understand your phone uses Windows Mobile 5... why wouldn't TomTom work on it? of course, I understand TomTom is not the best system for the US (iGuidance seems to be more popular)... but maybe all you need is the miniSD Card for addtional memory.
Also, if you want to use a server based system that has voice guidance, etc, I purchased the BTGPSIII from tigerdirect.com, and it came with a 3 month free trial of WisePilot, an internet server based guidance system... and it works very well, even recognizing if I'm on the wrong lane of the highway!!!
Thanks for the insight Manny. Actually, memory (disk space) is not an issue. I have a 2gb mini sd card. I did find some information out there that Tomtom software sometimes runs ok on this device, but they don't guarantee it. I really need something that is not web based for my solution. I used CoPilot 5 with an iPaq in the past with decent results, but I don't like the user interface CoPilot has.
If you can think of anything else, please give me a shout. Thanks!
