AIM on 8125

Well as you can tell I am a complete novice, and this is my first post. Though I was thinking of purchusing a Cingular 8125, and I was wondering what apps. it has available and if it could use AIM. Or just MSN Messenger. Also I was wondering if I would be able to use a normal SIM card for it out of a regular cingular phone.

Thanks

P.S. Please ignore my mispeled words.

Welcome to Pocket PC Addict Ockbrook! You can download AIM for the Pocket PC here:

AOL.co.uk: AOL Instant Messenger - AIM for Windows CE

It is possible to use a SIM card from Cingular for your 8125 however you will need to make sure you have a MediaNet plan for your device so that you wont get overly charged! Let us know if you have any other questions.

I asked this to Cingular a while back they said IMs wont count towards your texts but itll count towards your data plan. so if you dont have one id stay clear of AIM.

Post IM

while using any I'm clients it will be considered as a text message, so if you have unlimited data plan you will be all set.

yes using AIM uses up data...it has nothing to do with text messages so if you have unlimited texts then text...if you want to use AIM get a data plan or make sure you use wifi when your using AIM or youll probly be charged up the ars

it will count as a text message data plan will only occur when you go to different webpages and how much kb is being sent.
