Well as you can tell I am a complete novice, and this is my first post. Though I was thinking of purchusing a Cingular 8125, and I was wondering what apps. it has available and if it could use AIM. Or just MSN Messenger. Also I was wondering if I would be able to use a normal SIM card for it out of a regular cingular phone.
It is possible to use a SIM card from Cingular for your 8125 however you will need to make sure you have a MediaNet plan for your device so that you wont get overly charged! Let us know if you have any other questions.
i dont want to use wifi for aim or instant messenging, but i dont have a data plan, so if i use gprs or medianet or w/e for IMing (tho i have an unlimited txting, MMS, AND IM plan) will I be charged? im kinda confused, wt app could i use that could serve my purpose?
I asked this to Cingular a while back they said IMs wont count towards your texts but itll count towards your data plan. so if you dont have one id stay clear of AIM.
i dont have unlmited data thats the problem, i only have unlimited messaging. my phone didnt come with any IM option and all the apps ive tried use wifi or a internet connection.... the MAIN reason i got this was for IM and now i cant even do THAT?...
yes using AIM uses up data...it has nothing to do with text messages so if you have unlimited texts then text...if you want to use AIM get a data plan or make sure you use wifi when your using AIM or youll probly be charged up the ars
