Smile NoviiRemote Deluxe Program Review

So after trying the original verison of NoviiRemote and found that my Cingular 8125 was not compatable, I stumbled across there deluxe version and it said that the 8125 was compatible. So i decided to try it out.

After reading the manual briefly, i finally got going and found that it is a fairly simple program to use. It is easy to add your home entertainment stuff..ie:tv, cable box, dvd, etc.. They have a list of already set codes or you can just code it yourself. When i went to code my cable box remote, at first it seemed a little irritating because u had to click each button on ppc and then hold it on actual remote, and u have to do this with each button, but once i got it all done, it was pretty fun. I couldn't help but giggle as i controlled my dvd player and cable box with my phone. Oh am i going to have fun with this when i go out to places. (Thats if the control is already preset on my phone)

If anyone wants to check it out you can find it here, NoviiRemote - Turn Your Mobile Device into a Universal Remote Control. If you decide to go with it and need some help. Give me a hollar.

It's also great to change the TV channel at bars and restaurants to watch something good!

I'd recommend looking at this post:

Forum NoviiMedia :: View topic - PPC 6700

It looks like users are reporting 2 inches to 20 feet in range. It looks like it depends on what version of NoviiRemote you are using (beta seems to work better), and you need to use the program in landscape mode as well so that you can point the IR directly to the device in question.

Let me know if that answers you question!
