Here's a pretty interesting article from Pocket PC Magazine by Greg Winfield and Chris Pollach describing a product called "Airport Information Report Manager" (AIRMAN). This is a system used to keep track of birds in the area of an airport so as to know what methods the airport groud crews should use to keep the air traffic and the bird traffic seperate.
The system was original designed for desktops and laptops, however they have now moved it over to the far more portable Pocket PC platform.
