Dear Everyone,
My first post. I hope I do not insult anyone or shame this forum. I have bothered other forums and see no end in my imposing upon others for information.
My background is mostly with Apple Pwrbooks and Dell Inspirons. My venture into windows is limited but growing boldly. I just ordered a Axim 30, 624MHz - Yes, I knew about the X50s but did care for the wait time. I need references : medical and plain. Also a note taking app.
I also would like to hear if these programs can be downloaded to my laptops then to the Axim? And last, how many memory cards do you carry on person for your pocket pc or pda?
Thank you. One more thing, I would like to donate but hate going through PayPal. Any suggestions on this?
Sincerely,
mackill
if you're looking to do this with the powerbook(s) i suggest you get a copy of pocketmac pro. it will allow you to sync with your mac as well as transfer files (ie. cab files for installing apps).
you can get it at www.pocketmac.net
Hi mackill and welcome!
Mobilexile has a good suggestion for taking a look at Pocket Mac. Good company, good repuation.
As far as the note taking app, there is Notepad built into the X30. Have you tried that? If not, the hottest note taking app about now is Phatpad, but you might want to check out the review we have here for PPCPad to see if that is better for you.
P.S. I don't see how your question could be insulting or shameful... Seems pretty reasonable to me.
To All:
Awesome! I have been taking time off work to review the sites! I was expecting only Windows applications but pocketmac seems to be the ticket to get. Phatpad or PPCPad is too close in the race.
I have not received my Dell X30 624MHz yet. Hopefully, I won't regret for not waiting for the X50 series. My needs are for a learning tool, no video or games just note taking, loading up reference books and flash cards to help me memorize medical terms and functions/codes. I would just die if someone said that the X50 was far better to use!
But to those who have bought them, well I am happy for you too.
Really.
To Mr. Isaac and mobilexile, your inputs are much appreciated. I'll do may part in supporting Pocketpcaddict.
Sincerely,
mackill
