Baseball Addict by JAMDAT Reviewed

PocketPCBlast has posted a review for Baseball Addict for Pocket PC. This looks like an interesting game. What do you think?

The Good:
I love the fact that Baseball Addict plays very similarly to other baseball simulations that you would find on today's advanced video game consoles. I like the fact that there are multiple pitches, and that each individual pitcher has his own unique selection of pitches. A nice touch is that the pitchers get tired as the innings progress. The fatigue is evidenced by the fact that the power meter begins to get shorter which means that your pitcher won't be able to throw as hard or as accurately.
The sound in the game is very appropriate. You hear background music that you would traditionally hear at a ball game and the occasional crowd roar when a good play. Add in the crack of the bat, and the umpire’s calls and Baseball Addict really makes you feel as though you are in the game.
The Bad:
Baseball Addict doesn't have too many flaws, but I wish there was a little bit more in the way of options. I would like to be able to select whether the animations on the scoreboard play, or they should play only occasionally. They currently play too often, and this slows game play down.
Overall
Baseball Addict is the perfect addition to the Pocket PC game library of any sports simulation. At first I was a little skeptical about the playability of a baseball game with the limited screen size and hardware of a Pocket PC, but I feel that Hexacto has definitely created a winner with Baseball Addict. I give it an enthusiastic rating of 4.5 out of 5.
