Our friends at Boston Pocket PC posted some info about the new update to Pocket Bluetooth Tools. This new version offers "support for the Headset and Handsfree profile, allowing up to 9 devices to be used simultaneously without the need for rebonding." "After installing the program there will be a line for the power management on the today screen. So the next time when you bond a Bluetooth device there will be an additional dialog after entering the pin and confirming the device name. Therefore you should first remove your device again if you bonded them already."
Sorry for the previous post, I did a simple search on Google, and it's on http://www.angeltowns.com/town/bluetooth/
The only catch is, it's currently only tested on XDA II. I'll try to see if it works on my 4150.
To be fair, you yanks maybe be behind in the bluetooth stakes, but it appears that your well ahead in the game when it comes to WIFI.
Personally I feel that bt is limited, as I find it a pain to have to keep switching on/off the bt radio everytime I want to communicate with my GPS system, mobile phone or PC.
(this is especially a pain at present, as my 3970 has a habit of losing the bt radio icon from the today screen every now and then )
Why can't this stuff be more intuititve or more economical with battery life? e.g.
If I load smartGSM or Navigator the program should wake up and run the bt radio and the device I want to link to, once it is selected.
Maybe these issues will be addressed in future revisions?!?
