Review: Verichat Unified Instant Messaging (IM) application

If you are like me, you are a dedicated user of one Instant messenger, however you have friends who use other IM solutions. For instance, I use ICQ, but I have friends who use AIM and still others who use MSN messenger. Since the three are not compatible, we cannot IM each other. OR Can we? A company called PDAapps released an "All in one" messenger called Verichat for Palm and Pocket PC that is supposed to solve that problem by give you an always-on presence on the Yahoo!, ICQ, MSN & AOL chat networks. Is this an IM dream come true?
newmobilecomputing intends to answer that question with their Review of VeriChat: IM for PDAs. They reveal some interesting real world scenarios for this application, like how it works over a standard WiFi connection and how they actually got it to message a cell phone when an incoming message was received!
The application allows you to block/unblock individuals, send messages, see some info about your buddies etc. To send a message though, the buddy needs to be in your contact list, otherwise you will have to add him/her before you can message him/her. When you decide to message someone a new "session window" is opened and you can move between session windows from a combo box. This way you can have several chat windows open.
