When you say the screen went DULL what do you mean? Did the backlight turn off entirely?
What may have happened is if you hold the power button on the 2200 for 2 seconds, the backlight turns off. Hold it again, it turns back on. The backlight bar will not operate if the backlight is turned off.
Hope this helps,
Brad

HI
no,dull means that light intensity reduced when i pressed that little arrow beside the bulb in ipaqpanel, when i wanted to increase the light again, the slider in the main backlight menu didnt move at all...i removed ipaq panel..and still it didnt work..and it the same way till now,.......

I just wanted to check if you did indeed hard reset. Are you making backups?
Anyway, I am curious about this. If you go to your Start Menu>Settings and choose backlight settings, can you tune up and down the brightness from there?
Also, what happens if you turn out the lights to the room? Does the screen get brighter? If so, you have the auto brightness adjust function set. Just uncheck it and you should be good.
Let me know if this helps.
Brad

YOu know,thats the strange thing,
my old 3835 HAD a auto brightness function, and a box where you could check that autofxn.
this 2200 thing doesnt have the autoadjust check box and no autoadjust function, yet the slider was stuck just the same,i checked the unit and it apprently doesnt have any light detecting dot in it (like the one in a 3835)
Ive hard reset the ipaq 30 minutes ago,(3rd time)..... ,and the sliders all functional again.
ill run and antivirus on this pc first thing tomorrow, and update on what happens.
I hope the guest bug goes away cuz thats still here 2.

p.s does anyone thing this had something to do with rhinocodes ipaq panel????
