The idea of giving my friend a phone call over my Pocket PC to his PPC is definately an interesting concept. Just to say "Hey I did that" would be fun enough. I am tempted to try this just to see if when my friend calls me does my Pocket PC "Ring"? Anyone else game? WiFive Phone is a wireless VoIP application that combines the Mobility of a PDA with the Economical Efficiency of IP Telephony service. You can make a call free in Hot Spot area with Wifive Phone.

Now is it freeware like they claim or just a demo? They have a little mini-faq to explain:
Q> Is WiFive Phone free, or is it an evaluation version?
A> There is no charge for individual users to use WiFive Phone.
However, there is a "beep" sound every 10 secs after the first 7 minutes of conversation, because the WiFive Phone uses commercial codecs such as G.723.1 and G.729A.
In the case of enterprise- or carrier-grade customers, you can buy WiFive phone licenses and you will not hear the "beep" sound anymore.
Woh! Wait a minute....I gotta check this out....Are you saying I could make free phone calls with my PDA in my house over the wireless connection? I'm checking this out. I'll let you know what I find out.

I couldn't get my WiFi card to work on Dual Sleeve with my Ipaq 3835. The Netgear Ma401 card worked fine on PPC 2002 but I can't get it to work with WM2003... (That makes my sleeve totally useless)...so....Sorry, I couldn't get this to work...I really wanted to... :?
