Another item on the upgrade front. Resco Explorer 2003 has been updated to version 5.0. If you've never heard of Resco's File Explorer, it is the built in File Explorer replacement that offers a whole lot of other features, with it's most important feature being it is much more intuitive.
Along with on-the-fly file compression and encryption, copy, move or delete files, create folders, run programs with arguments, view registry, view text and image files, they have just added an FTP component from within the program.
If you are a heavy file user and find yourself getting lost within Microsoft's built in File Explorer, you really should give Resco's product a trial run. I never thought I'd need it, so I resisted downloading it. After trying it, I realized what I was missing. Now that I've been using it for about a year now and it is one of my most used Pocket PC Apps. I can't say I've tried the FTP functions yet, but they look very promising.
Hey, did you try Passive mode?
I am quite impressed now! It's a little bit buggy, and errored out a few times, but I just used Resco to upload the image below of me using the FTP function.
I CAN'T SEE ANY PLACE WHERE I CAN ACTIVATE THE FTP. If I go to settings/Addin all I see is the registry addin but not any ftp. Where do you go to set your FTP?

if I recall correctly, the FTP add-in was an option you chose during install. I'd try a reinstall of the product and make sure you check the "FTP component." Personally, I was tempted not to check mark that one too - maybe you did the same?
Once it is installed, it is at the bottom of the explorer window.
Sure, I tried already, I saw the ftp addin check mark and did a full installation but what I found now is even when now I can see in the addin for registry and for FTP and I have check both none of them are working.
For simple registry and PPC folder heirarchy browsing/tweaking, Resco Explorer is the way to go. I've been using it since I first got a PPC, and it's been in my toolbox ever since.
Works great.
