New Fix for WM2003 Alarms Built into Tweaks2k2

This morning I woke up and was cursing my iPAQ 2215 yet again You see, I set a daily alarm on my iPAQ to wake me up in the morning and it seems to fail 3 out of 5 times. Today was no different. The alarm refused to fire and I found myself rushing around with ANOTHER late start to the day.
To me, this is outrageous. To think that a $1 wind up alarm clock found at any garage sale can do reminders better than a $400 Pocket PC! Isn't the MAIN purpose of having a PDA to be kept on track and on time for appointments? I've said it before and I'll say it again, you should be able to run over a Pocket PC with a truck and the alarms should still fire. We can bash Palm all day long, but until the alarms on the Pocket PC become something we can count on, Palm will have the upper hand as far as being Personal Information Manager is concerned.
With all of that said, Frank from pc-counselor.com sent me a message this morning about an update to his Tweaks2k2 that contains 5 new hacks including a Alarm Fix for Windows Mobile 2003 Will it work? We'll see...if it does, He'll be my hero

Alarm sound

Does the sound of the Ipaq actually wake you up? (It's sort of a dull ding-dong) or did you change the sound to be more of an alarm? and....is it loud enough?

If you are thinking that maybe the alarm did go off but maybe I didn't hear it, then I can assure you if it DID go off, I would have heard it. 8-) The sound of the alarms are definately loud enough to wake me up. And when I did wake up, I grabbed the iPAQ and it was off...I turned it on and BING-BONG!!! the alarm fired -- waking up my wife.

You misunderstood me...

Nah....I believe you when you say it didn't go off.....It's that I can never hear my alarm (let alone wake me up) so I figured you must have some type of sound downloaded that you use on the alarm setting for your Ipaq.

Like I said in another forum. The alarm fix is not 100 % sure. Each PPC is a different world and it's hard to find something like this fix good for everyone.
I have seen many people reporting that this trick works while I have seen other saying that it does not work, most of them because they are using other PI programs that include alarms or other alarm programs.
