While looking at Handango this morning, I saw that a little $5 app had been released called Handy Recipes. It's an app that has food recipes and a Calories, Proteins, fats and carbohydrates calculator. "All new and delecious recipes with nutrition information, which helps you to reduce your weight. Easy to use interface for your Convenience."
Anyone here use their Pocket PC as a supplement to their weight loss program?
I hate to admit it but.....I go on this Weight Watchers program usually about this time every year....
I've never paid for WW, I just figured out how the "Points" system works and created these Excel spreadsheets to do the work..The way the WW points system works is it's a calculation and I have yet to find an application for the PPC that tracks and calculates your points (on a daily and weekly basis)...
The whole gist is POINTS = (calories/50) - (fiber/5) + (fat/12) Current Weight - Daily Point Ranges
Less than 150 pounds 18-23
150-174 - 20-25
175-199 - 22-27
200-224 - 24-29
225-249 - 26-31
250-274 - 28-33
275-299 - 29-34
300-324 - 30-35
325-349 - 31-36
Over 350 - 32-37
I also carry this 60 page Excel spreadsheet (that I created) that contains almost every food item and the associated points. (The thing is you mainly eat the same type of foods and it's easy to memorize those foods and their points)
And I use a Weekly spreadsheet to track points and weight...
I don't know, looks like a perfect application for a PPC..but I think you could have all kinds of legal probs with Weight Watchers if you incorporate their points into an app.

I'll bet you that it's no longer available, because WW probably got a hold of it and stopped the app....I'm telling you, I started this whole annual WW thing 4 years ago...and 4 years ago that point calculation was all over the internet along with web pages that would calculate points for you and applications for your pc that would calcualate points....Now, all those web sites are gone because WW has a trademark on the "Points" and went after all of them....I can't find anything anywhere...

In that case It's time to incorporate CW points (i.e. ctitanic watcher points! )
That's to much for this poor guy! I'm exausted today after a week of hard work putting together my thoughts, ideas, data, time and design for this last program of mine: CTFood.

Darn, I had visions of the Ctitanic watcher being like the big eye from Lord of the Rings that watched every time you tried to sneak a cookie or piece of pie and sends a Ringwraith after you!
Think you could program that?
