First post but here goes, Iv'e been sitting here trying to find out about anti virus software for my IPAQ ppc, I bought a wifi card about 5 months ago, got it to connect then took it out incase It picked up a virus.
Now , what I'm reading here is, the general feeling is that ppc's dont get virus' that you get on your PC, is this because they generally dont connect to the net, only thru sync'ing and they are protected by your PC's AV protection.
But, if I go on holiday and connect to the hotel's service with my wifi card am I going to be safe enough.
Any help putting my mind to rest would be appreciated..
Cheers (looks like a great forum by the way) Mick.....
I say put your mind at rest. While it is not impossible, the odds of you getting a WM virus over wifi is awfully small. Anybody looking to do any dirty work like that would be looking for regular Windows, not Windows Mobile.
