yep, i installed the new update for EV-DO Rev.A to my mogul but didnt create a back up. well, i did a half of a job making one but all i really cared about was the contacts. BUT i noticed that my mogul created something called a contact.cache, which i saved on my destop and contains ALL my contacts info. After the update, of course it erases everything i ever had on my phone and is now back to stock, a great thing to know if you ever need to send it back to sprint. Any how, i now have this amazing contact.cache and want to know if there ANY special folder i need to put this in for me to restore my contacts. Right now nothing is working especially placing it in the same spot I found it in.
now note, i am still in the process of putting everything back on my ppc, and i have a strange feeling that cache is for my contact manager which i will install soon. will update if it does, or does not work. TY
this is weird but i'm on to something. This cache belongs to Pocket_CM. How do i know this you ask? Well i noticed in the same folder as Pocket_CM everyone has a cache so i just replaced it. I restarted my phone and opened Pocket_CM and for 3 seconds, all my contacts were in CM. But it soon disappears and only leaves the numbers i manually replaced on the phone..fustrating. I need helppp
