My windows live merges automatically with me contacts if i want to sign it, whether to use messenger or just check my mail, i found in the settings of windows live to turn the feature off, but when i sign it, it asks me if i want to merge windows live with my contacts, and i have only 2 options, yes or no. when i click no, it doesnt sign in, so in order to use windows live, i MUST merge them.
I've doen it once, and my contacts were a total mess, emails...contacts...phones....it took me 3 times longer two find the people i wanted to call, so i had to delete them one by one from my contacts, but when i did that, it also erased them from the messenger. Now i cannot add a person to messenger, when im online people see me as offline. i tried to add email to contacts and messenger just to see if people will see me as online, it doesnt work.
if you experience the same thing, or have any clue how to fix it or to be able sign in without merging with contacts...anything would help.
I'm thinking of formatting my PPC, but then ill have to do everything all over again, and i dont think it will fix anything, just redo the problem.
