I have looked around and tried something from XDA but it didnt work. I have some videos that I downloaded and were converted for ppc's.. but the video is blocky and choppy and any fast movements just create more blocks...
Should TCPMP be installed to device? or is there any settings that I should change, i have tried a few but it hasnt made anything better...any ideas?
youtube videos are fine using streaming media program that came with vp3g...but i thought TCPMP was supposed to be the best media player, so prove me right please
well i didnt fix TCPMP but i found a replacement....core pocket player, which is basically TCPMP's big brother (TCPMP is the beta, core is the real deal...$)...
but anyway it fixed the video problem, but EVERYtime i open a file it goes to file selection, and i try to exit it and see the video but it keeps coming back to the file selection, so i select some files and than it lags and almost freezes the phone...anyone know how to fix this?
your probably right. i played around with some settings, but not the buffer...maybe ill go back to it but core player is working fine for me video-wise.
but shouldnt a programs default settings work in the first place?...
thank god for tcpmp and coreplayer because although the phone claims to support mp3 and .avi, when you first open them up in windows media player it does not support those files....hmm, advertise it can play mp3s and than out of the box it cant. (and you void your warranty by installing any program not made by microsoft...like coreplayer)
Well they do work properly, it's just that the video might be coded differently which is why you need to play with settings.
I am not sure what you mean by mp3 and avi files not playing in Windows Media Player because mine does. But then again, it's all about coding so I guess there were some issues with your files there.
And not to worry, you don't void your warranty by installing such software. Never was and never will be.

ahh well i heard that it does void your warranty and not to tell them if your talking to a rep...but oh well my warranty just went out anyway so i dont care.
do you use activesync when you put mp3s and avi's on? i dont really know how to use activesync i just open up file explorer on my computer and go to mobile device and put files on that way...thats probly why windows media player doesnt play them
