hello everyone... wondering if i could get some help. im new ti the whole PPC modding arena i wanted to know what are the general rules when flashing your PPC?
here is what i have:
AT&T 8525 ( unlocked using HTC_Hermes_SIM_CID_Unlock_v3a) i got it from here!! thanks again!
WM6 pro
carrier ---T-Mobile
everything is working fine but i want to get rid of the stupid AT&T startup screen, and i also want to do the following:
remove all the crapware that is one this thing from AT&T mobiTV, music ID,etc.
here is what i want to do:
have a clean os so i can use remote desktop, to connect to my customers PC on the go.
get an 8GB micro SDHC card to store music (will replace ipod mini)
have the black theme, but not all the icons (i like the screen as clean as possible)
a2dp to pair with my BT jabra headphones
and just have it run clean and allow me to to add whatever i want to it.
i know thats a lot but if anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated!
im just not sure where to even start.
BTW does anyone know where to get the data cable for the 8525? i cant seem to find it anywhere! i have never seen a usb connection like that.
I believe your device is unlock you so could install just about any ROM for the Hermes that is out there. So get the ROM that works best for you and install it? Shouldn't be any problem there because I used to do that when I had an HTC device (I now use ETEN though).
So the first place to start would be to look for a HERMES ROM. Google it and I am sure you can find some.
From there, we can take it to the next step. I can't say what the next step is because it depends on the ROM you install. If it is a cooked (customized) one, it might already have all the features you want so you do not even have to worry about the next step).
As for the cable, isn't it a mini-USB cable?
