Initial syncing Issues w/ Vista and MDA

Like i mentioned before I am a extreme newbie. I went to install Outlook onto my Vista 32 bit computer w/ the included software. It loaded ok. But the ActiveSync would not install. I have a T-Mobile MDA. I can't even get the computer to recognize it. I was going to load up all the ROM updates and stuff, but I am stuck. I went to the Dumb Microsoft site to find solutions. It wanted me to dl WMDC so I did that and still nothing. Help me please I am thinking of going back to Palm OS.

Vista does not use ActiveSync, but instead Windows Mobile Device Center. If you can get it to work, good luck. I've had my Treo 700wx for 4 months and have yet to get my Vista powered laptop to sync w/ it. I'm thinking of having Vista replaced w/ XP just to use ActiveSync. It's not your device, just another example of the mess that is Vista
