I am considering getting Agenda One for Contact management, Scheduling, and Tasks.
Two problems:
1] I keep hearing that all the PIM programs basically take the data from the desktop via MS Outlook when you synch with the Pocket PC. If this is the case, I need help with Outlook 2003. Can't seem to keep my contacts from being displayed with first name first, when I want last name first.
2] Anyone have Agenda One, and have done well with for basic and more advanced PIM functions?

My device is HP ipaq hx4700 with WM5
I don't use Agenda One, but most third part applications use the same databases that Outlook is using. But the preferences you set on the PPC will be the preferences for the third party app that are used irrespective for how the native PIM applications are set. If all you want is to be able to sort your contacts differently I think Agenda One would be overkill. There are other apps that can handle contacts only (i.e. Contact Breeze).
Thanks for the info. I want to do a lot with contacts, but also a lot with scheduling, calendar, etc. I want one PIM to do it all, and well. The goal is to be able to put in a lot of data on the Desktop, then transfer to the PPC.
Agenda One and Pocket Informant are generally considered to be the best third-party PIMs out there and I think both have trial versions. I used PI for a bit but didn't want to give up that much memory and found it a bit slow if I installed to a card. I now use Pocket Breeze which rather than being it's own PIM let's me have much more control over how I view my calendars and tasks on the Today Screen.
I am not sure about the memory as I've never used Agenda One. The big difference is that Agenda One and PI give you different PIM applications and PB changes how you manage from the Today screen. I rarely use the native PIM apps and do virtually everything from PB. If I want to add a calendar entry I tap and hold in PB and select the option to add an appointment. This opens the native calendar app. After that, any rescheduling, reminders, status change, etc. can all be done from within PB.

You might "trial" Agendus for Windows Mobile. I have used the Palm Agendus product for years and been very happy with it. I'll be trying the WM version in a couple of days myself (soon as my new XV6800 arrives)! They have a 30-day fully functional trial period so give it a drive around the block.

I have gone with Agenda One for stability reasons and am very happy with it. Agendus for WM has more features, but the stability isn't there yet. It is relatively new compared to its Palm counterpart.
