i know the MSN client can remotely control a computer if an administrator allows access (ie, someone giving you control of their computer at another destination in order to solve a problem thats hard to explain over the phone)
unsure of whether or not it works with ppc, but i know its free. might be worth a shot if you have nothing else to go on.

Don't think it is possible on CE platforms but I think on wm5 and wm6 there is an utility to do, forgot the name... you can google for 'remote to pocket PC'
If I recall, WM2003 identifies as a build of CE 4.2 in the device's About display. I think there is an app in Microsoft's power toy downloads (somewhat slow and not officially supported) that lets a host PC control a connected device with the device screen in a display window on the desktop PC. Is that what you are looking for?
My mobiler works very well...i had an 8125 and the screen broke and i used my mobiler to use the phone through the computer....the phones screen came up on the computer and there were many options too...really liked it...i believe i downloaded it from this website matter of fact in the download section
