I have an ATT Tilt w/WM6. I've been receiving my mobile email perfectly find through MS Active Push and I've been using Outlook Mobile. Up to now I've been able to open all attachments sent to me by clicking on the attachment, waiting for it to download, then I can click it to open it automatically in Office Mobile. Now all of sudden, I cannot open any attachments. It downloads (or says it is), then shows me the document icon, but when I click it, nothing happens. I notice on my storage card, that in the inbox folder it has attachments but they're all 0 bytes. Any ideas? I have 1G free on my storage card so that's not it.
Yeh I did do a soft reset and it didn't help. I notice if I click and hold the stylus on the attachment itself, it pops up a menu with a 'Save As..' option, however it is greyed out. So it won't even let me save off the attachment; something I've also done in the past but no longer works.
I'm having the same problem. I have an AT&T 8525 (HTC Hermes) with WM6 and it used to open mail attachments and now that it stores on my storage card it says "Cannot display the attachment." I do have a Inbox.mst29903488.29136715 ... folder on my storage card with a subfolder named Mail Attachments and there are files in there and they are not 0 byte files. Has anyone been able to resolve this?
I'm still not able to open the attachments directly but if you hold down on the attachment and select "Save As" you can then save it to your memory and open it from a file manager.
I have a T-mobile wing, and started having the same problems after deleting (sigh!) some folders I though were unnecessary.
From the previous posts, I gather the problem is in a missing folder, where the attachments are temporarily downloaded to be opened by the PPC. As I have deleted a few, I cannot reconstruct which folder is the one missing.
Unfortunately not of that part, I did not think it was so important. But I might have found an alternative way around: I asked another owner of the same phone to cross-check with me which is on his (which works) and not on mine (which does not). It should be a simple matter to figure out where the problem might hide. More to come ....
