hi guys,
i have a cingular 8125 being used with rogers. with the ipl = 3.08 and spl = 3.08 which i installed the iphone theme onto. my first question is that if my device is a g3 or a g4? i tried searching on google but am still confused. My second question is about the TouchFlo is it possible to have that running while having the iphone theme installed?
edited--->also i just read in the sticky TouchFlo G3 and G4. the instructions for the g3 mention that once you update the rom you sould be desplayed a beer mug at bootup; my question is that my 8125 does display a beer mug does that mean my phone is already CID Unlocked and infact it is a G3 to answer my first question.
Please follow the directions there very easy. No your not cid unlocked until you run lokiwiz unlock.
Do you ipl spl 1.05?
If so then install enable rabi by going into the ext. rom of the phone and running it from there install to device.
now run lokiwiz and select C to cid unlock the device and then flash back to the original rom you had so you can get back to ipl spl 3.08 then install what ever rom you wish.

ok i'm following the instructions provided in the sticky.
but everytime i run the Buttom Rom it goes upto the progress bar window and displays a application error and hangs my phone to a red. green, blue screen. Then i'm forced to reboot the phone to gain access.
does anyone know i am doing wrong.
I'm running Windows Vista. And i purchased the phone a few months ago and it came unlocked.
my phone specs are:
WM6, ipl/spl 3.08, os 6.6.6.66, gsm 02.25.11 (which are displayed at the beer mug screen).
ok first of all why are you running the button rom when you obviously have a cid unlocked phone? If your phone is already unlocked then you dont need to reunlock it. The reason you run the button rom is so you can get your ipl and spl to 1.05 so you can run lokiwiz.
Ok the reason your having issues is because your running vista.
Ok all you have to do is download the touchflo rom and then pick the vista ruu. Then you should have no issues with the upgrade just make sure you have netframe work 2.0 installed.

the problem is that i have downloaded the touchflo ruu and i am running the vista rom update and am having the same issue. Now the Net framework that you mentioned that is pre installed with vista because i tried and downloaded another version and it states its already installed with operating system.
ok i found out it is a driver glitch with vista. I found this link from xda-developers site that answers all questions for vista users and rom update errors
