i got my at&t tilt last week. i know this phone has a built in gps reciever. i am planing on putting a map. i know also that this phone has a telenav equip, but i don't wanna pay the monthly charge on it.
does anyone of you know what kind of software i could use?
is tomtom 5.0 compatible on my phone? i have the software with me that i downloaded in the internet...
I spent some time looking at different software. I tried Microsoft's free LIVE SEARCH, and GOOGLE MAPS. Since they are free, they a good bet. LIVE SEARCH actually is a map that downloads as you move. It is a moving map format that indicates your position with a small arrowhead.
GOOGLE MAPS does not move, so its kind of a pain, but does show the sattelite view.
There is also one of my favorites, GPS TUNER. With this program, you can use your 3M camera to photography maps, then calibrate them, then use them as GPS maps! Cool!
