I receive the following error when I try to run HTC Home Customizer on my HTC Wizard/TMobile MDA WM5. This application (homecust.exe) requires a newer version of the Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the version installed on this device.
I have WM5 and I am using a HTC Wizard. I know I am going to get the posts where people suggest I upgrade to WM6 but I have bricked two phones trying that!!! Twice bitten, scared as poop! I am afraid to try again. I started trying again last night and got scared and snatched the USB cord from my phone. I am a middle aged woman who is not as tech savvy as you young whipper snappers. I've been blessed to have TMo replace my phone twice at no charge, I do not want to push my luck.
Anyway, I am curious - can customizer be used on WM5 or am I out of luck on this too?
Well ok first of all do you mean HTC Home plug-in.
Anyway do you know if your phone is a G3 or G4 you can tell by looking at the numbers located at the top left of your screen on the second boot screen after a restart.

Also I can now unlock the GPS chip in the FUZE and 8925 and install GPS software with maps as well

I was referring to HTC Customizer but I finally got it to work. I had to download something from microsoft.
