Noobie here...I need help w/ Verizon VX6700

Hey guys,
I've had this VX6700 for about a month and I'm just starting to get into it. I would like to change my ringtones to something more customized but I just can't figure it out. I do have an SD card inserted w/ some music. I did find a link from this site telling me how to make it a ringtone by putting it in a tone file. Well, after I did that, I went to "phone", then "options", looked under ringer and couldn't find the song I put into file. Anyways, I'm new at this pocket PC thing, so if anyone can help me out...in Layman's term...that would be great. Thanks guys.

Mike

ok it should be real easy to set a mp3 as a ring tone. just active sync your device drag and drop it onto you memory card. maybe in a mydocuments folder and a sub folder for music. then after you do that go to it and select it by holding down with your stylus on it, a menu pops up at the bottom it says set as ring tone. select that option and voila. also you can put wave files and such directly into your windows folder and select them by going to settings and selecting phone, then in a drop down menu you should see it. Also keep in mind that music and such can be kinda large so I would consider editing it down a bit.

Thanks for the input, nate. I went to my media player and dragged a song to my device, but I could not choose what file to put it into. Supposidly it synced, but I can't find what file it went to...my device or storage card?? Anyone...

ok while in active sync select mobile device, the icon on the left. then you should see a file that says memory card, open it. now create a folder if you already havent done so that says my documents. now open it and create a folder that says music, now open that and insert till your hearts desire or your memory card becomes full which ever comes first. Now disconnect from you computer, go into file explorer and find your storage card. Now open My documents, my music and select the file.
