Hey guys, new to the site. Im still trying to learn how to use my phone and find good app's for it. Even might try to do the Home page hack. Anyway, Im a mac user so I really have no way of using active sync. Unless there is a mac version out there that I haven't found. My question is what software can I use to do a full sync on my mac. I have looked at "The Missing Sync" but Im not sure if it is a good buy. Reading on their website it seems there are alot of problems with it. Any suggestions? BTW, my phone is the HTC Mogul.
I had the same prob. also using a mac. The way I corrected it was using missing sync for windows mobile. They have a free trial. So far I have had no probs. Using both usb and bluetooth to sync.
Thanks. Maybe I will download the trial. On their forums it just seems like everyone is unhappy so I didnt want to plunge into something that really doesnt work. Anyway..Thanks again
I'm considering switching from a PC to an Apple in the medium-term future, but my biggest concern is installing third-party software onto my Pocket PC; none of the other stuff I really use as I typically use my Pocket PC as a stand-alone device in place of a computer, and there are generally work-arounds (such as card readers) to get data to/from my Pocket PC...
Most software is available for Pocket PC in cabinet (.cab) format these days, even if it's only on request, but ocasionally developers and/or distributors will only release the software in more "traditional" formats (such as in the form of a Microsoft Installer), which needs the support of a host computer and being that Apple computers are not officially supported, I question how well the third-party solutions (such as The Missing Sync) handle the installation of third-party Pocket PC software...
By the way, I can't remember the name of it, but there is one other company making a third-party sync client for Apple computers - Google it, that's what I did, and I found it pretty quickly.
