hey guys, so i tried to install wm6 onto my ppc6700 the other day and it just stopped 1/2 way. it gave me error "101" which indicates i either don't have the usb properly hooked up to my phone or my phone isn't on. but i assure you both were okay.anywho, basically the screen will only appear
Serial (at the mid top of the screen)
and version 2.02 at the bottom of the screen with no backlight on.
when i go to plug in my usb cable the screen changes "serial" to "usb"
usually when i go to charge my phone via usb there will be an orange light at the top right hand corner but that no longer occurs.
i did do a quick search for this before posting and googled for a little bit but i give up. so it was time for me to post. last thing i will add is i did try hard reseting it but all it does is go back to the screen i described. im assuming during the installing of the wm6 it formated my os completly and now im pretty much left with a blank pda. please can someone lead me into the right direction. thank you
dude, thats an unofficial ROM.
are you using activesync on anything other then Vista? or is you using vista with windows mobile devices...the latter won't work.
while it show's USB on the screen, try another rom.
First off, the WM6 upgrade from PPCgeeks is great. You are in Bootloader mode, which is where you should be before flashing a Rom. Retry the WM6 ROm, and if that does not work, try to install the offical ROm from Ustar, if that fails there is a Sticky in the Apache forum at ppcgeeks, called "Stuck in bootloader mode", this should take care of your problem.
