SPB pocket plus claims to answer all questions and give a complete Today screen that is the best, is it basically Windowblinds for the PPC? I have dealt with windowblinds and found that it wrecked things after I uninstalled it. Will I have the same problems with Pocket Plus? I hope someone responds, as it seems on these boards that many people look but never answer. I guess I'm used to the NCIX boards where everyone answers and voices there opinions within a few minutes. We should make it the same here, if I knew the answers to peoples problems I would surely answer, but I am new and still learning, give me a few months and I'll chime in if I can.
Let me suggest first that you drop the attitude. People will view a thread to see if they can help and if they can't then they won't waste your time with frivolous crap. Your comments almost made me decide to stop checking your posts at all.
Pocket Plus is from a developer with a good reputation (Spb) so you are less likely to find it creates instabilities. It addresses a number of common user complaints such as 'X' button minimize rather than close behavior.
To forestall problems arising from an uninstall, make sure you deactivate functions (like Today screen plug-ins or special Internet Explorer tweaks) first and do a soft reset when uninstall is finished. Like all tweaking apps, Pocket Plus makes registry changes, so running a clean-up app like MemMaid after an uninstall will find any orphaned entries and files.
I do not personally use Pocket Plus but know it has been around for quite a while and many swear by it.
It was never my intention to piss people off. I have been a member for one month and in that time I have made a handful of posts. Most of them did not get answered. I guess I was at my wits end regarding the rest of my posts and thought to myself, that I need to do something to get people here to answer. I apologize for that. I am used to NCIX which is a PC website here in Canada, it is for anyone who builds PC's and such, when I ask a ? there, it is answered in a minute, I also answer questions as soon as I can. Problem is, I do not know the answers to PPC questions. Once I learn, I will definitely answer everyone else.I just need to learn first, and I cannot do that on my own.
